Marvelous Mitts, by Karen Neal of Karendipity, make the PERFECT travel project, a great gift, and are SO fun to knit. Almost all of the Chix have knit at least one pair. They can be addictive! Using only 2 50g skeins of sock-weight yarn (one solid, one handpaint), they are also an economical project.
You will learn several fun fair isle techniques in this class, including stranded knitting, a braided cast-on, and corrugated ribbing.
Students should be very comfortable working on double-pointed needles, or comfortable using the alternative small-diameter circular knitting method of their choice.

Materials Required (10% off):
1 50g skein of handpainted sock yarn
1 50g skein of solid or semi-solid sock yarn
1 set size 1 Double-Pointed needles (or 2 circular needles or 1 40" circular)
To reserve a space in a class, you may register online. However, to secure your spot, we ask that you call us at 708-366-6300 to pre-pay for the class with a credit card, or stop in to the store to pre-pay for the class and choose your materials.

You can sign up either on-line or stop by our store at 7316 W. Madison in Forest Park, IL. Pre-payment is required to secure your place. If you choose to register on-line, we will call you and arrange payment over the phone, or you can stop by the store and we can process your registration and pre-payment in person. We offer a 10% discount on materials purchased for your class, unless otherwise noted in class description.
